there are babies in first class too!
Would these be headphones the airlines purchased? Should the airlines purchase enough for to accomodate every passenger on the plane and for every plane in their fleet? If not, is it "first come, first serve"? What will be the cost of hiring extra airline workers needed to sanitize or repair those headphones after each use?
What would be a reasonable fee to charge a passenger to use a headphone during the flight?
Yep. my son could sense instances when his crying would create maximum stress for me.
I miss those days too, oddly enough.
Lol.πππ
You win the Internets today.
There should be a small closet like room where a parent can take a kid like that. A noise proof room. And how about medicating a kid like that?
Which is worse —— a crying kid or one who kicks the back of his seat?
I’d leave that up to the airline

even 2 can be disruptive.
You can't know if the child will be quiet until you are in the air. And if the pressure is causing the baby pain, you're not going to be able to help her.
Are you suggesting they be put in the baggage compartment?
I listened to music and an audio book
I am a seasoned flyer. But on one flight I heard an ear-piercing whistle in my ear and it felt like my head was about to explode. That flight was like being tortured.
LOL. Yes my 10 year old still chooses the wrong times to add stress. But you only get to do that age once.
Perhaps the airlines could install sound-proof enclosures around a few seats on an airplane where mothers with crying babies could sit.
But I’d leave that up to the airlines.

Like he turned out to be?
In the baby's defense, the baby doesn't know any better. It is using the only form of communication babies are known to use.
You know, life would be a lot easier if babies were born talking and could tell us, Hey, I'm hungry, I'm tired, or it hurts somewhere.
But they can't. They cry. It happens and while I don't like it one bit either, I understand the baby is just being a baby and I am not going to pass judgment on parents who can't calm a baby down nor am I going to presume they won't or don't care about the crying.
There are a lot of good parents out there yet who care about what their kids do and I see them in public. To broad broad brush all parents as indifferent and uncaring is wrong, any more than broad brushing any group of people based on the actions of a few.
I’ve been there. One time I remembered pain so intense it took everything I had to not scream like a 6 month old myself.
“thumbs up” to your entire post.
I think some people just plain don’t like babies.
