Doesn’t justify the shooting, but it certainly helps explain it.
We live in Wyoming. Our original road to access the house was two miles long. Every inch of it private. We have a sign at the gate that gives a number to call in case we have a delivery or visitors.
And since 2010 we get a pretty steady stream of people driving past the gate, the signs, and not noticing that the mostly one lane road is not a state highway.
So far they’ve all done this during the day. And we are armed when we greet them and turn them around.
If someone were full enough to rush this place at 10pm at night the result would be predictable.
And where we live in Wyoming no one would care.
What is the explanation? I sure missed it.
