I just saw an article the other day about a guy missing 85% of his brain (born that way) and still had an IQ of 84 and was able to lead a normal functioning life. Consciousness is more than our brain.

Much of our brain is white matter which is sensory brain matter. Other parts of our body has white matter such as the heart. I would like to know if he can walk and talk ok. If he lost memory or something else. Many variable.

I'm also of the belief cognition isn't from the brain. though to access cognition and understand the thoughts you need a brain.
