Dr. Michael Hisers’ hobby was “UFO stuff” and he often said that he had better theological discussions at UFO conferences than at church. After he went to a Roswell conference in 1997 he became convinced that Roswell was a Operation Paper Clip screw up and “aliens” was the cover story.  The Roswell incident starts at about 5:30 on this documentary by Hiser:

watching the video with Dr. Michael S. Heiser on Zecharia Sitchin about 45 minutes in. He makes the argument that if one thing is wrong about Sitchin's theory ALL his ideas are wrong.

This is exactly what I was referring to earlier with on how myth drives civilization using the concept of "logical Positivism" the belief every theory has a logical fault therefore no theory is true.

Yes it's true I can easily show Sitchin and some of his points are mistaken. Though that shouldn't discount the concept. I now understand why these people where very defensive when it comes their claims. They can never be right about anything because he said one thing that was mistaken.

Dr. Michael S. Heiser is in my opinion controlled opposition to logical thought.
