No. The leap in technology (tools and weapons) shows up in the archeology of the time (35KYA and before). They even made musical instruments of bone and wood, which exhibit a 5-tone scale. A whole “Band” of instruments were found together in at least one site. They made sewing needles. And so on.
You’re right...I cannot know for sure if it they won the genetic war and extinguished Neanderthal because of superior weapons and tactics. Maybe they were just better looking and the archaic Homo sapiens “women” preferred to mate with them.

Sounds like the Book of Enoch. Not here to argue the Bible or related, it’s just I have recently studied this & found it interesting that things like this supposedly went on during the time of Enoch. It might explain the evil principalities that existed then, are the same ones manipulating & corrupting humankind today. I found the Book of Enoch thought provoking.

I have found the books of Dr. Michael Heiser very interesting on Enoch, Genesis and related topics, especially the connections back to Sumerian Civilization.
As to considering sources (such as Enoch) that were excluded from the Bible, Jesus said: "Seek and ye shall find." He also said: "The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
