I saw the purported Lincoln quote above also attributed to Thomas Jefferson. I went to the Jefferson site dedicated to authentic quotes. The quote of Jefferson saying that is made up. Seems that someone inserted the name of Lincoln into it. “Renegade” and “doper” are not the same thing.
