No. Even a mere financial scam based on race-baiting needs protection from the law to grow. That's where it needed protection from prosecution. That's what the DOJ gave.
BLM founders visited the White House something like 50 times. Petty financial scammers do not have such access.
And then especially when one goes onto the streets - that's a challenge to the Deep State. At minimum, the security state (again DOJ/FBI) will most certainly want to know who you are. Beyond that, they will seek to control, manipulate and guide.
No one knows exactly how "organic" vs. "controlled" BLM was - but it should be clear, they had very obvious interactions with the Obama/Holder regime.
