I understand what the Trumps are trying to do. They are speaking up for a company that has really been supportive of conservatives in the past. That’s acceptable. I understand the owners have apologized, and said they were wrong. That’s a good thing. Everybody makes mistakes, and they deserve to be able to correct and move on. Consequences exist, and sometimes those consequences are uncontrollable by any one person.

I have stated that I believed that what has been done will destroy bud light, and probably Budweiser itself. That market and market share is now gone. The jokes, the association with transgender, will only continue. The made a catastrophic mistake, and they should now prepare the company to move on quickly to other products.

They may eventually recover to the same pre-market stock value or even sales, with the amount of inflation it might only take 3-4 years, but they will be hollow numbers that don’t result in anything near the profit they had.

I doubt anyone from AB is reading this, but they should start concentrating to gobble up the FRAT beer market with another label before competitors take it all away forever. Shock Top probably the best alternative. Rest in peace now Bud Light, killed by first political commercial I know of.

(1) You call that string of catch-phrases an apology? Nowhere in there is language that could remotely be considered an apology or a recognition that they screwed up.

(2) A mistake? A mistake? Using the wrong word or having a misspelling in an advertisement is a mistake. This was a deliberate act that was supported by the corporation for days, before they panicked at the damage that it was doing.

(3) They have made no move to "correct" this "mistake". While trying behind their "we didn't know about it" facade, they have not condemned the advertising move nor have they withdrawn the "sponsorship" of the product from this fake-woman.

They should have their feet held to the fire on this. While they wouldn't have dreamed of having an advertisement that showed someone in Blackface, they instead used the equivalent advertisement against women.

Transgenders and Drag Queens are to Women
What Blackface is to Blacks.

And they should be held accountable, along with their brand.

*** I understand the owners have apologized, and said they were wrong.***

Hey, FRiend, the owners of Bud Light and AB-In Bev did not apologize. Please reread the statement put out by the CEO Brenden Whitworth. There was no apology in it at all. None.

Also, you mentioned Shock Top as an alternative to Bud Light. Shock Top is also owned by AB-InBev, so anyone who drinks it is still lining the pockets of a company that promotes DEI philosophy.

Please click here to see their other brands, so that you can avoid them.
