You are exactly right. I have been using the word "mockery". These people are actually mocking women. And it is, as you stated, insulting. There is a lot more to being a woman than growing your hair out and painting your bedroom pink.

The retroness is really interesting, with the bouffant hairdos and other late ‘50s early ‘60s beauty queen flourishes. The guy featured on the Bud Light cans is clearly working the Audrey Hepburn Breakfast At Tiffany’s angle. Just funny how they’re so fixated on a particular time period.
