Last year, I met a builder who was working on a $40,000,000 home that was being built in the Hamptons. They were two years into the project and still hadn’;t hung a single sheet of drywall.

It was an amazing project to see, The mechanical room was about the size of my entire basement just for HVAC and plumbing.

I wonder if their Hamptons party guests will shun them for their consumption and turn down the caviar Hors d’oeuvres

I don’t know their politics but when Ghandi was in New York in the 1950s he followed a vegetarian diet that required what were rare and expensive foods at the time in NYC, one of his assistants who spent all day in taxis buying what was needed for Ghandi’s meals said something like ‘it has never cost so much to keep a humble man’s meals so simple’, or something along those lines.
