You’re ignoring a key factor:
Before Trump: Comey, Wray, Barr, Mueller, etc all worked in several administrations and were not considered evil by voters or republicans. They did not attack the president of either party.
Once they worked for Trump, the knives came out. And these weren’t the only well known names that did this. Half of our Republican politicians attacked. Ironic that only a handful attacked Hillary……think about that.
It’s fair to assume, only Trump was a threat. No one else is getting this treatment.
If these same evil people don’t believe DeSantis is a threat, then he is a RINO much like the others (McCain, Romney, Graham, Bush, Ryan, Fox news, Sasse, Cheney, Gowdy and all the rest).
So you can stick your head in the sand and hope they don’t turn on DeSantis

FYI: Once Trump is gone, there is no going back. And the primary will end DeSantis’ pursuit of the whitehouse forever. Remember Cruz? Rubio? Bush? They will never run again. The country has changed and DeSantis will never be backed by 15% of MAGA. Too many forget that many never voted before Trump because they don’t support the uniparty. DeSantis would have had their support if he waited. His disregard for the voter split and playing coy makes him no different than any other self serving opportunist. We have too much of that already. No thanks.
The problem with Ron DeSantis is the people who back him. If DeSantis is beholden to the Red Handed bunch, I don’t want anything to do with DeSantis.
As a matter fact, I think that we should do a little more research and expand Peter Schweizer’s list of Red Handed politicians and photoshop red hands onto photographs of all of them.
