I had no idea they sold so much over the weekend.
Well, this litter of kittens is a bit different than the last one. They are collectively not quite as on the ball. It’s time for them to be litter box trained so I put little short boxes with non-clumping litter in their bathroom. They know they’re supposed to go in there, but they’re not sure what for. Some have figured out they’re supposed to scratch and make a hole and then they leave. I guess the smart one is Twix, she has gone potty in it twice. But the others are still not sure and I’m finding wet spots on the rug. Luckily, it’s very old! The poor little things are looking around, meowing, it’s like they know they should be doing something, but they can’t figure out what. These instincts are very interesting.
I guess this group doesn’t have an outstanding leader yet. The last one had aI guess this group doesn’t have an outstanding leader, yet. The last one had Edsel, he would figure something out, and the others would watch, and then they would follow what he did. I guessed that would be the norm but not with this group.

“She seems almost more protective over the kitten,” Sattler said. “She always puts her nose on it to make sure he’s there and he’s OK.”
It’s uncommon for a dog to take in another baby animal, especially one of a different species, Sattler said. Sometimes a mother will care for an orphaned animal if prompted by a person, but it’s rare to see a dog initiate the “adoption” and so immediately become tied to a kitten like this, she said.
Kela, the puppies and the kitten will be fostered until the puppies and kitten are about 8 weeks old. After that, they will be put up for adoption, along with Kela. Sattler said it would be great if Kela and the kitten could stay together, she said.
“She just loves this kitten,” Sattler said.
Is the litter scented? That can put them off, it does my older cat sometimes.
