The keto diet was developed just for this purpose (epilepsy). My son’s neurologist had several kids who only did the diet, no meds. He supported them. My son started keto about 5 years ago and has not had a seizure since. He has been able to dial back to the lowest dose of seizure med and could probably come off completely but his neurologist now (adult) encouraged him to stay on a low dose
That’s great! How old was your son when he started having seizures? I didn’t know about the diet helping epilepsy until now.
