I’m thinking non-gmo does mean something, hopefully....since it means NON- GENETICALLY modified organisms.

....But how do you find that information on food labels? As of January 2022, genetically modified food products must be identified, according to the USDA, but it won’t say GMO. Instead, that ID comes in the form of a seal that says “bioengineered” or “derived from bioengineering.”
“Bioengineered” essentially means GMO. The USDA defines the foods “as those that contain detectable genetic material that has been modified through certain lab techniques and cannot be created through conventional breeding or found in nature.”
The government put this law in place for manufacturers, importers and certain retailers; restaurant foods and foods containing 5 percent or less of each bioengineered ingredient are exempt, according to Oklahoma State University. Plus, the choice of wording — leaving out “genetically modified” in favor of “bioengineered” — may confuse some shoppers, according to the non-profit The Non-GMO Project.....

I don’t know how reputable this organization is, but it looks like a good resource. We grow all our vegetables (and some fruit I.e. cantaloupe) from heirlooms and planted 30 blueberry bushes a few years ago. But we are on 5+ acres. Most folks can’t do that, what will they do? I’ve been saving seeds each year for my neighbors but they have never shown an interest in a garden. And they do have the space.

Lol, tomatoes, jalapeños and green beans are the main things I grow really well, but my family is already sick of them. I have a freezer full of tomatoes now and about to set out this year’s seedlings. *sigh*
I grow corn just to save the seed which is crazy. No one here eats corn, but I use 1/4 of my garden just to make sure I have enough seeds to have a lot of corn if we ever need it (chickens, etc)

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but 20 something year old National Guardsman aren’t privy to the kind of information that was just leaked about our own corrupt government. And if he did somehow pull this off…the kid’s an absolute legend and national hero.
I honestly hope more comes out. I hope this takes the entire military industrial complex and all the war pigs in DC down with it. Let’s break down what our government just got caught lying to the American people about, shall we?
• Despite lying to the public about this not being a by-proxy war…it absolutely is. US and NATO forces are actively funding and training the Ukraine army to fight a war with Russia that they 100% provoked in the first place and lied about.
• We have US troops on the ground fighting Russians despite no one in Congress voting to go to war. The military industrial complex did this knowing damn well this could escalate into a catastrophic full blown nuclear war with Russia. (Which I dare say is exactly what they want, because they can’t afford to have Putin expose the puppet regime we installed, money laundering, sex trafficking, and the dozen or so illegal bioweapon labs the DOD already reluctantly admitted were there but said were just for “research” like Wuhan.)
• Ukraine casualties are much, much higher than they’re saying, and Russian casualties are less than quarter of what this administration has been telling the media to report on. (Ukraine is losing, this will become Vietnam 2.0, the biggest sufferers will be the Ukrainian civilians themselves, and the only people that will benefit will be the banks funding it, and the war pigs in the Pentagon fleecing tax payers for all of it.)
• Intelligence agencies were spying on everyone, including their allies…which we all kinda figured they did, but now that they’re caught…it’s going to create a HUGE international issue.
• Ukraine’s defenses are almost depleted, so our suspicions were correct that all the money Congress unbelievably sent was definitely getting money laundered right back into corrupt officials’ pockets.
These leaked documents prove beyond a doubt that this war was initiated behind the backs of the American people. Until we start protesting en masse and holding these political criminals responsible ourselves, they will continue to use this immense systematic fake news campaign of media lies and manipulation against us. Every state funded media channel that played along with this, should be immediately defunded as well.
If *anything* could unite the American people against our own out-of-control federal government…the fact they just tried to start WW3 for profit and world domination should be it.

well, I took mom in on Tuesday because she had diarrhea. The vet gave the kittens, dewormer, and now Snickers has diarrhea. But worse, she has lost an ounce. I’ll call the vet first thing in the morning.
I wouldn’t have noticed, but they have all been trying to use the litter box lately.
I’m hoping this mom will wean the kittens herself, so I don’t have to separate them. But I probably will. They won’t spay her unless she has not been nursing for at least a week.
I bet those baby goats are so darn cute! I’d probably let them in the house.
My 6 yo torti (Coco) was given to me from a friend’s barn litter, and she had terrible diarrhea and had to be wormed twice. She is still really tiny. I have to feed her sensitive stomach cat food or we have diarrhea and throwing up. Like kitty IBS.
