"@GeorgeSoros-funded @ManhattanDA @AlvinBraggNYC continues to attempt to undermine an active congressional investigation and ongoing oversight of his expenditure of federal funds to unlawfully interfere in a presidential election with an unprecedented indictment of a former president who is currently a presidential candidate. Repeated efforts to weaken democracy and obstruct a congressional investigation are an abuse of power and will not deter the United States House Committee on the Judiciary from its duty to uphold the law. Elected Democrat politician Alvin Bragg would better serve his constituents and the country, and fulfill his oath of office, by doing his job in the Manhattan DA's office and not intruding on Congress's legislative power over states that use federal funds to deny due process and equal protection of law to American citizens and interfere in an ongoing presidential election."

SCOTUS Declines Emergency Request To Reinstate West Virginia âSave Womenâs Sports Actâ
West Virginia passed a law barring boys from competing in girlsâ sports. A District Court judge upheld the law.
The 4th Circuit, without explanation, issued an injunction against the law. West Virginia sought an emergency order (docket) from the U.S. Supreme Court staying the injunction (i.e. allowing the law to remain in force) pending litigation of the merits of the case:
Five SCOTUS votes would be needed to vacate the injunction. We donât know how many votes West Virginia got, but we know it didnât get five because the Supreme Court denied the request, for reasons not explained. So neither the 4th Circuit nor SCOTUS explained why the reasoning of the District Court was wrong, or why preserving the age-old practice of separating girls and boys for sports was not a legitimate legislative action.
Justice Alito, joined by Justice Thomas, issued a dissenting opinion which sheds some light on why the request was denied â West Virginia waited too long....

Former secretary of state under President Trump Mike Pompeo fired back at claims from the Biden administration that Trump constrained the conditions of the U.S. pullout from Afghanistan, during which 13 American soldiers died in a suicide bombing while protecting the Kabul airport, and untold numbers of Americans and Afghans eligible for evacuation were stranded.

Mike Pompeo, who also served as CIA director under Trump, said he wasn’t surprised by Kirby’s tact, saying President Biden and members of his administration routinely blame anyone but themselves for their own multiple failures.
“I am outraged by the fact that the 13 Americans that were killed there didn’t have to happen. And President Biden made the political decision to announce the date of withdrawal, to publicize it, and then to withdraw â in spite of the fact that the military clearly had told him that was a likely outcome. I don’t know what they’re talking about,” he said on “The Story.”
Pompeo said Kirby failed to understand that former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani was a “corrupt scoundrel” who was likely to flee and destabilize the country’s government, and that ceding Bagram Air Base would be a geopolitical catastrophe with long term, far-reaching consequences.
“This was entirely predictable. We (the Trump administration) didn’t constrain them at all. The Biden administration has demonstrated their willingness to break up good plans that the Trump administration had,” Pompeo said, pointing to Biden’s continued deconstruction of Trump’s border security policies and his about-face on the Trump-era tactics used to “deter” Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“It is outrageous what Kirby said today. And this report is based upon things that are just simply not true,” Pompeo said.
