One time, on a hot Arizona day, I put a store receipt in my pocket, between my wallet and my body. Sweat moistened the receipt and by the time I took my pants off I had a red chemical burn right where the receipt pressed against my body.
Hopefully no permanent damage -- local or systemic.

Oh, the book that you recommended when we were near Mt Rushmore - I’ve put it to good use. Very helpful in understanding the weird aspects of back pain, and body pain in general.
