Thank you for the real data. What's fascinating to me is the number of $100 bills that are produced. For other bills, I surmise that the production is mainly to replace worn-out bills. But far more $100 bills are being produced than any other denomination -- and it can't be because of wear and tear.
Are these $100 bills filling mattresses, or are they being sent on pallets to our mortal enemies? Especially look at the HUGE blips in $100 bill production in 2012 and 2013.
As it’s a “reserve currency” other countries might have to keep X amount on hand for their currencies to actually be backed.
