The Pentagon is investigating how and why Boeing employees working on current and future Air Force One planes lacked the proper security clearance to
do so. Security clearance and credentials are needed for any person to be given authorized access to work on presidential and U.S. government
aircraft.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Pentagon discovered up to 250 Boeing employees had expired security credentials.
