The Governor and Legislature, both in control of progressive Democrats, are competing to see who can come up with the most destructive proposals to add to the mix.

The goal of the left seems to be punishing people.

I wouldn’t head it off at all. The Left is irrationally dedicated at all costs to destroy NY. It would be better to encourage them to go off the cliff at an even faster rate and make it painfully aware to all NYers who is at fault.

I’d rather rip the bandage off quickly than to slowly peel it back.

"I actually think we will likely be better off going full speed ahead on the innumerate nonsense and running hard into the green energy wall."

The author is correct. We need to see such "green energy" fairy tales crash spectacularly as a lesson so obvious, it cannot be ignored.

The federal government role should be to allow states whose governments make ignorant decisions which are divorced from reality, to fail, so others can see the obvious results of ignoring reality.

The Biden administration has taken exactly the opposite approach: bail out states who are failing, by creating money out of thin air with several strokes of a keyboard.

This takes value from those who worked and saved and transfers it to those who created fantasies to waste resources upon.

Not going to happen with the government which installed itself in office these last few election cycles.

Is not the Manhattan Institute still in NY (though not just focused at the state level)?

Most politicians are too stupid to be given the power to make policy. This is why NYS is going downhill, along with many other states.
