My housemate is 86 years old and lost the right side of her body to a stroke 6 years ago. I'm her primary caregiver. We've known each other for 38 years, so I'm used to her desire to be a liberal normie and not believe in conspiracy theories.
Besides, I can hear her wheelchair coming down the hall.
Maybe you should just install a 4-inch chock at your doorsill?
All kidding aside, I wish both you and your housemate well. At 86, I doubt she will have any major change of mind no matter what happens. She probably still adores FDR and Eleanor and thinks Joe McCarthy was the biggest fiend who ever lived.
