How has the Tongass logging industry been killed? I live next to national forest and they still log it. AFAIK....

How has the Tongass logging industry been killed?

All I can tell you is that when we first came here ten years ago commercial fishing and logging were nearly equal as employers and drivers of the economy. I surmise that excessive regulation rendered logging unprofitable in this area. Remember, this is an island.

Today there is no logging here at all.

Zero.

Today the number two industry is tourism, and that is very, very small (PTL).
