Does a movie set have its own separate legal jurisdiction?

Let’s say I hire someone as my Arms Master, or assign a member of my family that role. Can I then blame that person when I shoot and kill someone, by claiming it was not my responsibility to make sure the gun I fired was not loaded?

I’m pretty sure the answer is no, so why does a movie set have different laws?

I understand that the military and law enforcement do have special legal jurisdictions - but a movie set?

It’s kind of a new case

I do know actors rarely recheck arms handed to them by the master

Which defies our gun safety logic here

I’m unaware of a major actor doing this before though it probably has happened

The question baring more info

Is where do actors liability start and masters end

I’m not sure there is law specifically for that

This case will likely change that in any event
