Uh - it’s not working.
My oldest child graduated high school in the ‘90s, at a top-rated high school in the suburbs. Even back then, my son’s English teacher said it was nearly impossible to discipline students. He said that back in the day, if a kid got in trouble at school, the kid also got in trouble at home. But it changed so that when a kid got in trouble at school, the parents came in to complain about the teacher. This same teacher was the yearbook advisor and once threw a Snapple bottle at my son. I asked my son what he had done to prompt that response. He said he had been mouthing off. He wasn’t upset at the teacher.
