We were awful to teachers in middle school.

We considered it a "badge of honor" if we made a female teacher cry or a male teacher get angry and swear at us.

Our crowning achievement was making a male teacher cry.

Karma has a way of getting back to you. I later had to teach a bunch of high schoolers. Not fun at all.

I contacted my former teacher and apologized. She was very kind and forgiving.

When I was in elementary school, the teacher got so angry at something I had done that she hit me.

Realizing that she could be sued, she called my mother that evening to apologize.

My mother asked "What did my kid do?"

The teacher told her; then my mother hit me.

After that, I made a deal with the teacher: "You can hit me, just DON'T TELL MY MOTHER!"

Our crowning achievement was making a male teacher cry.

Our class drove a weak teacher out. But the school quickly had its revenge. They found a male teacher who was tough as nails. His first act was to challenge the two class bullies/ringleaders, and humiliate them in front of the class.

There was never a discipline problem after that. 13 year olds are that different from chimpanzees.
