I do understand your depression. I just want to suggest a couple of things, other than popcorn, kek.

Do you have anything you do that makes you happy? For me, it is playing the piano and swimming.

Recently, have no clue why, my neck and my shoulders have been absolutely wrecking my day. I haven’t been able to swim :(. My hand is getting better, but I’m doing a lot of exercises and things for my hand, so I can play piano longer and a bit better.

But the neck and shoulders have been something else. I got this book, “Built from Broken.” Very interesting... so I am back to stretching and he talks about weight loading? I am not at that part yet, sorry, but I have also been hanging upside down, and neck and shoulders are better.

Aside.. I had gone to the shoulder doc, he took an x-ray, prescribed pills that messed my stomach up, and sent me to PT. I realized it was all connected to my neck and my posture. Hence the book.. I’ll fix myself 😂.

I also got a kneeling chair for the computer.

Okay, so why am I telling you all of this?? Well, this book also talks about walking for 20 min a day and what it does for your body and brain. I understand if you can’t walk, have no idea what your situation is.. but can you get outside?

So.. let go of telling your kids and grandkids. Take a walk or?, and do something that makes you happy. Write this all down in a diary, perhaps. But don’t be negative! Realize who will read this.

Years ago, I read a story about an elderly woman who was very depressed. Her pastor noticed she had a gift with African Violets. He suggested she start growing more and giving them to sick or ailing people from the church, new mothers, etc. When she died, she was happy and well loved by her church. I have NO idea if this is a true story or just a story, but the point is, to do something that is out of yourself.

Be remembered as the happy grandparent, the loving grandparent, the giving grandparent.

Neck and shoulders, you say? Came on more or less out-of-the blue? And hanging upside down helps a bit? You really, really need to visit a chiropractor.

From here it sounds like the third vertebrae from the top has a kink.

Do you drive a tractor or other heavy vehicle? Or do things that rock your head front-to-back? Kneeling sorts of work? Or any other kinds of extended motion activities?-———————visit a chiropractor.

Great advice, all around. My health improved when I started walking a lot, daily. Of course I was much younger, but I walked briskly 45 -60 minutes a day.
