There have always been train incidents.
You are now hearing about them mostly because vulture capitalists are packing RR boards with dividend-driven members and/or woke types who can't figure out where a locomotive's steering wheel is. These clods are killing the industry and driving it towards nationalization, which many of the usual suspects want in the worst way (literally and figuratively).
Facism in the name of "safety"- it works like a charm.

Takeover of capitalism by people totally ignorant of business operations, whose only claim is their access to cheap bank money, is rampant across America. My guess would be EVERY INDUSTRY has been made stupid this way.
The only thing worse would be letting A.I. run things. That, of course, is the plan of these "Finance capitalists."
