This can go bad real fast.

There's always a great war and a big geopolitical shake-up every 75-100 years. The Austrian, Ottoman, and Russian empires collapsed after World War I. The British and French empires collapsed after World War II. I think the USA is next. It sure feels that way.

And one thing that always happens is that one baddie gets replaced by another:

Remove the Kaiser, get Hitler.
Remove Hitler, get Stalin.
Remove Tojo, get Mao.

And no doubt, removing Putin, will allow for the next baddie to emerge, just like in “Whack-A-Mole”.
