Funny: When my son and I walk around San Francisco with our dogs - where Asians are frequently attacked by black criminals - but told White Supremacists are their greatest threat - no Asian has ever crossed the street when they see us coming. Why is that? This includes when my family (mid-20s to early 30s, mostly male, except for me), four to six of us, come down the sidewalk. We haven’t seen any Asians fleeing from us.
In fact, they are friendly and often stop to talk with us. One even came running out of an apartment building to tell me in broken English that the street sweeper was coming and I could get a “large ticket.”
Yes, they have such fear of us.
