I don’t see evidence showing the bank was done in by woke theology. Was it present? Definitely, but investments didn’t look bad and the loans were being paid.

Any time a bank has depositors take out their monies, they have to have cash to cover that. When a lot of cash is needed, you need to sell investments at a loss to get quick cash for your customer.

That is simply what seems to have happened, here.
