A blind man says he wants to read Playboy for the articles but can’t.
On Wednesday, Donald Nixon — who is legally blind — filed a lawsuit against the legendary company’s website, claiming that it was in violation of the American with Disabilities Act, TMZ reported

Playboy never interested me a lot. The pictures were ok but boring. There’s an old country song by Nat Stucky called “Don’t Give Me No Plastic Saddle”. That pretty much sums it up for me. I like to feel the leather when I ride.

Back in the day a friend of mine had his commercial salmon boat (gillnetter) up for sale. We fished from 7PM to 5AM then, an hour before sunset and an hour after sunrise at that time of year. So it was mostly night fishing; we used radar to tell when we were in or were drifting towards the shipping lanes, buoys, rocks or out of the open area, or into Canadian waters. Then there were depth finders and Loran. Neither radar or the others were operable unless one had sight.
So along comes this guy who wants to buy his boat for $40K cash. Except he was totally blind - not legally bind, but born blind. Pointing out the problems did no phase him, but my buddy had to turn down his offer because he did not want to be responsible for the blind fool’s death.

I don’t know about the website, but I know they used to publish a braille edition.
I have most of the issues pre 1990, and unlike most people who read them for the articles, I read them for the advertisements.
If I see anything at a thrift store or swap meet that was advertised in Playboy I know it is worth money.
But I read the articles too.
They jumped the bush when they started binding the magazines instead of stapling them
Oh wow….wouldn’t “the internet” basically be offensive to all blind people?
What was the outcome of this 2018 event ? Did he get the big settlement he was after?
The solution is to have a good female reader.

I learned about the braille version from a friend of my wife’s who had blind since a teen.
He got a law degree, practiced for a few years and got into something better but I am not sure what. I haven’t heard from him in over a decade.
One time he spent the night and the next day while we were waiting for his ride to come, Perry Mason was on.
All he could do is say no to everything Mason did.
It was a beautiful moment in the movie. It is to morn for her poor arms. 😉. Regards.
