2) Soetoro had a long history of pitching, not catching:
2a) He supposedly would be "orally serviced" in exchange for providing the occasional customer/sucker with coke while still in Hawaii.
2b) According to Sinclair, Soetoro was happy to have Larry service him in exchange for coke in Soetoro's days in the Ill-Annoy Legislature (during the wild limo ride in Gurnee).

I typed it vaguely and therefore poorly, but considering the graphic, it does show he prefers the view of the pitcher.
