This is the problem: government employees use the limitless funds of the government to destroy anyone they choose. It isn’t the DOJ that should pay, it is the actual PEOPLE who abused their power and authority, that should pay, personal. Otherwise, they simply commit their abuses using our money, and pay off those who successfully sue them, using our money. That’s not Justice, and it’s not a deterrent against future abuses.
I also believe that lawsuits should be against individuals. Otherwise there is no deterrence and the taxpayers get the shaft in both legal expenses and settlement costs.
