I don’t think RD will run this time around. It would be a waste of time and he must know that. Of course, if he wants to collect huge donations from the GOPe, he gets to keep that money after he loses. I dunno... I hope he’s above that mindset.

That may well be true for some time into the future. My opinion focuses on the chance for the democrats to get a female president. By electing Biden again then at two years and one day into the next cycle he can step down and Harris becomes President. She could be reelected for two four year terms then. Actually If Biden steps down now Harris could be elected in the upcoming election and serve for two terms and what is left of this term. I think we need to seriously keep a strong focus on defeating the current administration and get some one onboard this time that can defeat them.

True that election was not in no way a normal election process.
The covid lock down was still in use in some locations and mail
ballots were also a big item for some areas.

Interesting article today on American Thinker about how the GOPe sabotaged the primary process to reduce the odds of Ron Paul winning in 2012, and how Trump may have used it to his advantage in 2016. It begs the question of what they're going to do this time to try to keep Trump from winning the primary.

I agree with much of what you said, but I don’t necessarily agree with the last part about the last (R) President. The left overplays their hand.... always. The big money interests will play the game until it costs them too much. Their coalition is one of convenience and those rarely endure the hard times.

I am a little bit optimistic in that I think the GOPe or Chamber of Commerce class is losing the fight for the GOP.

I know many people, including my wife, who have become involved at the grassroots level. We are not winning all the battles but we are winning a lot more than we used to!

Normally I wouldn’t say the last but the election process is so corrupt, those counting the votes-Democrats, will never allow another Republican to win. It was too easy to cheat in 2020 and 2022 with no repercussions. The GOPE are perfectly content to allow this to go on as long as they get a place at the government tit. Trouble is eventually the Democrats will push the remaining GOPE trash off the tit as well, they are just too stupid to realize they are expendable at some point.
