Yes, I do. And while I appreciate your lengthy response, you so realize that calling Governor DeSantis names in your first sentence doesn't help your argument.
There is a Cult of Trump here that is unhealthy and counter-productive. It's practitioners often are indistinguishable from the sort of rabid and hostile fanaticism seen on Democrat Underground. Their constant attacks, usually baseless and/or shallow, are turning off a great number of people who otherwise would be more supportive -- this includes Donald Trump himself, who has been throwing bombs constantly. It makes him seem petty, egotistical, thin-skinned and immature. I voted for him twice and would do so again, but I see both the good and not-so-good aspects of the man.
Living here in Florida, I can say without reservation his tenure as governor here has been the best I have seen in my 60-year lifetime. He hasn't even declared yet, but too many people are acting like he has -- that shows a disconnect from reality right there. And so many people are saying "DeSantis should do this" or "Trump should do that" -- I suggest that, if they have a script for these men, they may want to send them a copy.
And maybe he will. And I'd vote for him in 2024 just as I'd vote for Trump. They are both good men, and we need all the good men we can get. But if DeSantis does choose to wait until 2028, I'm certainly fine with that too. If that's "self-serving" so be it. Florida will continue to lead the way against the waves of mass-insanity that seem to batter us from every angle -- leftist fascism, calling out a mass-media that is little more than a left-wing propaganda ministry, transgender insanity, racial hatred in the form of CRT, expanded gun rights, et al.
Fair enough, thanks. -OGINJ
NFN but it did warm the cockles of this commenter’s heart when your governor referred to “the Brandon administration.”
Wonders whether you enjoyed this wisecrack too.
