Newspapers pulled Adams's 'Dilbert' comics and the left thundered its umbrage after Adams reacted to a poll suggesting significant bigotry among black respondents.
We know that the left is always looking for an opportunity to silence those who challenge their groupthink. Their target isn’t only conservatives but anybody who disagrees with their worldview even in the slightest possible way.
They left lives in the hope that contrarians to their groupthink will either misspeak or express a nuanced and detailed idea that can be extracted, stripped of context, and made to appear bigoted. This gives them reason to mount a social media campaign and initiate cancellation.
Yesterday it was satirist and thinker Scott Adams's turn to be cancelled.
USAToday announced that it would stop publishing Adams's "Dilbert" cartoon because they ‘lead with inclusion and strive to maintain a respectful and equitable environment for the diverse communities we serve nationwide.’
Cleveland’s Plain Dealer newspaper also decided not to publish any of Adam’s cartoons.
John Hiner of MLive Media in Michigan wrote in an editorial, “We will work quickly to find a replacement that will entertain you and not violate basic standards of decency and respect for others.”
Many other outlets followed and did away with Adams.
Adams has been producing Dilbert for three decades and they are seen as a devastatingly satirical commentary on workplace policies.
What did Scott Adams do such that he merited cancellation?
Adams become a nationwide trending topic after he said that black people are "a hate group and I don't want to have anything to do with them."
He also said the following:
"Based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from black people."

I am a white male, with normal male sexual attractions. I call it like I see it. I agree with Scott, and am a WLM founder of this 1 man group.
Culture is more than skin color. Don’t buy the divisive narrative being pushed by the media. I have dear friends of all colors who are amazing people. We share a common culture: civility, hard work, compassion, doing the right thing.
Judge people by how they behave.
My son’s best friend is black. He’s a fine young man and his mom and I are friends. When his online gaming account got hacked, my son hacked it back and shut the hacker down. We dropped off a gift card to help replace what was stolen out of his account.
When my son was depressed because my health had taken a bad turn, his friend and family came by and took my son out for a day at the entertainment zone and dinner. Easily, his family spent $100 on my son.
My girlfriend refers to my son as her son’s brother from another mother. I see her son the same way. When anything bad happens to him, it hurts my heart.
My husband just got recognized at work for training a young man to advance to the next level in the company. The young man is black. My husband described him as smart, dedicated, and willing to learn. The young man, upon his promotion, thanked my husband profusely and expressed how grateful he was to have my husband as a mentor.
There are good and bad people of all stripes, so always exercise caution until they show you who they are.
Heck. The black friends I have grandfathered in want nothing to do with blacks.
That’s funny. I hear Black people in the corporate media and academia saying that and worse about White people routinely, and they never face any consequences for it.

This already happens on a daily basis in every urban area in the U.S. If the melanin content is the same, they just resort to different color head rags to determine which "team" one is on.
It also happens on a tribal level in places with no "white devils" such as Rwanda where the Tutsis and the Hutus did a "masterful" job of hacking each other to death with machetes to the tune of about 500,000 dead in the mid 90's.
Blacks vs Hispanics. Black anti-Russian violence is endemic. Inner city blacks vs middle class blacks.
The list goes on.
He could possibly have decided he’s done with the daily grind by now and does not care where the chips fall; but it was an improvident thing to say, or perhaps just the way he worded it. Not even accomplished black personalities are allowed to tell their own ethnic group to pull their pants up, get a job, get married before having children and stop committing crimes because of things that happened long before they were born.
As soon as I read it, I could see this result. There are some things you just don’t say in polite company, which in his case would be a mixed-audience readership of people who can afford a daily newspaper.
Am I sorry he said it? It is his right to express his opinion. And these are his consquences.
He’s not wrong, in general.

I got back a couple of weeks ago from a trip to the Bahamas. Actually, Grand bahama. Virtually everyone there is black and it confirmed what I’ve said for decades. I’m not anti-black. I’m anti-American black culture. Over there you can carry on with blacks or whites. It doesn’t matter. Everybody works, everybody has swim form of income and everybody is just trying to get by and be nice to each other.
The problem we have in the United States is a class of cultures. And one of them is poisonous. It’s becoming bloody obvious and we need more and more people like Adams showing that the emperor has no clothes.
The problem is not black people. The problem is the dominant black culture in the United States and some other countries.
I have noticed the same thing as you! The marxist culture war is the poison here in the USA.
