“This guy need to try an induction range.”

At 3 times the cost of gas ranges and his electric bill is already $8,000.00 a month.

Nice try, Scooter.

Our Kenmore Elite induction range, if I remember right, cost us around $1500 around 20 years ago. I see it is now up to $1700.

Knock on wood, so far it has performed flawlessly, saving us about 15% on electricity.

I have no idea how much a resistance range costs, and don't care, as I would never buy one again.

You have instant control over the heat with an induction range, and instant heating if the pot or pan with the cook top remaining mostly cool, only heated by the heat from the pot or pan.

When "new" technology actually works, I like to use it.

First patented in the early 1900s, induction made a splashy World’s Fair debut in 1933.

According to the Appliances Connection blog, Frigidaire brought it to market in the 1950s and Westinghouse did the same in the 1970s.
