There's a lot of fault to go around, but I watched the video and one thing that struck me was that she was begging for her inhaler, and the cops were going through her things, looking for an inhaler. In her purse they found the applicator part, but no medical refill attached. Then one guy, around the 27 minute mark, finds in her suitcase what looks to me like a box with a medical label on it, and I believe it held the part of the inhaler you snap into the plastic applicator. He opens it, looks inside, and then puts it back into her suitcase without saying anything. Unless it was empty (and it didn't look empty because thin boxes like that tend to collapse) he needs to be investigated.

I don't know if it would have helped her or not, I don't know if having an asthma attack could lead to the stroke, or if it wouldn't make any difference, but I don't understand why he didn't offer it to her. She was asking for it.

Then, once she was in the back of the patrol car, her breathing was so horrific that there's no way anyone with a brain could think she was faking it. And you can hear her breathing get worse and worse... then fainter and fainter... and it's clear by the 1:08:30 mark that she's not breathing anymore. And he's just driving along, yelling, "Sit up!" at her. It's really appalling.

Where did the police dump the dead woman? It wasn’t clear.

Acute asthma can definitely lead to a stroke or heart attack, and using an inhaler probably would have made a difference.

The hospital is at major fault here. They kicked the old lady to the curb and called for the cops to haul her away. The cops were "just following orders". (We all know how much that defense is good for).

Cops are not qualified or generally capable of diagnosing medical problems. "Following procedures" can frequently worsen real medical problems - as we just saw in this instance.

The lady was claiming a variety of symptoms for conditions which she clearly did not have, and the hospital admins decided to get rid of her. They succeeded beyond expectations. But she did have some real medical problems and the arrest worsened them to the point where she died.

Having the old lady removed as a cost saving measure for the hospital is going to turn out as "Epic Fail".
