Gisele Fetterman revealed on Friday that after her husband admitted himself into a Washington, D.C.-area hospital for treatment for severe depression last week, she packed up her kids at home in Pennsylvania and took a road trip. But not to Washington.
"We drove straight into … Canada," Gisele announced on Twitter.
"1 week ago today when the news dropped, the kids were off from school and media trucks circled our home. I did the first thing I could think of … pack them in the car and drive," she said.

That “spouse gets the dead guy’s seat” is so bizarre. But the spouse’s bid works better in the House, because a special election is held within a couple mo the to fill the seat.
If Fetterman were to keel over and an election be held, that could very well happen. But remember, here the governor would appoint. If PA law is similar to most, there’d be a special election in November 2024 to fill the remaining 4 years of the term. In the meantime, governor Shapiro is looking to consolidate and expand his hold. My point is there are undoubtedly other potential appointees that could help him do that; appointing her would not

Well I’m relieved I thought she was going to fill his seat.
Any woman who would encourage her husband to run for office after having a stroke does not love him in the conventional way...
“What POS would not stay by the hospital to visit and comfort their husband at every opportunity???”
It reminds me of how blessed I am to have my family.
