In 2007, in North Dakota, a US bomber left Minot airfield with two armed nuclear warheads onboard. These missiles were allegedly just being transferred, however the warheads were armed and loaded.
Actually the warheads were supposed to be dummies for training purposes. They were to be transferred from Minot AFB (ND) to Barksdale AFB (LA). A few months after the "mistake" was discovered, there was a wave of "suicides" of officers and NCOs at Minot. Somebody was cleaning house.
