Well, this should give all the DeSantis haters ("OhMiGod!! He's a one-world globalist RINO!") plenty to chew on. < G!> Of course, Ron DeSantis still has not tossed his hat into the ring, and seeing as it's still almost two years until the next Presidential election, that's an eternity in politics -- who knows what will happen in that time.

I'd give even odds that he will declare his candidacy by summer, although if he wants to remain in Florida and keep up the fantastic work he's been doing here, I think we can live with that.

There is actually one organization pushing for him to run, "Ready for Ron", which I suppose should come as no surprise.

Similar moves were made in 2016 in Kentucky for Rand Paul as he could not appear on the ballot twice for two primaries and he was up for re-election for the Senate the same year.

Ultimately the State Party got around this by holding a caucus for President outside of the regular state primary so he would not appear on the primary ballot twice.

DeSantis and Trump need to smoke the peace pipe and get on about their jobs - being a GREAT Governor and a GREAT Presidential candidate, respectively!
