I'd give even odds that he will declare his candidacy by summer, although if he wants to remain in Florida and keep up the fantastic work he's been doing here, I think we can live with that.
There is actually one organization pushing for him to run, "Ready for Ron", which I suppose should come as no surprise.

DeSantis wants to run take the risk or stay out of the race period.
Similar moves were made in 2016 in Kentucky for Rand Paul as he could not appear on the ballot twice for two primaries and he was up for re-election for the Senate the same year.
Ultimately the State Party got around this by holding a caucus for President outside of the regular state primary so he would not appear on the primary ballot twice.
He most definitely should not resign! We need him to finish his work here in Florida!
DeSantis and Trump need to smoke the peace pipe and get on about their jobs - being a GREAT Governor and a GREAT Presidential candidate, respectively!
