The Yes/No votes were already well defined. Trump had Cruz and a few other token votes, that was it. Nowhere close to making a difference. He knew what Pence was going to do well ahead of time as well.
It was already over. This was just Trump's little tantrum that he should have known would blow up and cause a lot of innocent people to have their lives destroyed. People he's done nothing to help. It's a total disgrace.
Did the FBI misbehave, sure, but what's new there. Trump didn't prepare for it, and should have. There were so many people telling him it was a mistake, which is obviously was, he just won't admit it, even now. So his supporters won't either.
I ask you again, if Biden's supporters had been ransacking the Capitol on the day the electoral college is voting, would you have considered it an outrage? Of course you would have, because it was.
“Trump didn’t prepare for it, and should have. “
He tried — almost begged — Pelosi and the freak mayor to beef up security with National Guard and more “just in case”. They refused. They knew what had to be done to further their cause. THEY are the reason for, and the true instigators of, the “insurrection”.
Biden supporters did ransack the Capitol and that’s extremely upsetting, especially since government actors led it. Those Trump supporters who willfully or unwillfully caused damage or broke into the Capitol have no excuse and are to be condemned as much as if they were Biteme supporters. But the organizers of the event WERE Biteme supporters. Those Trump supporters who were either attacked by the police for no reason or led inside the building by the police do not bother me.
You are letting the government off here. Planting bombs to be “discovered” coincidentally as its own actors started the attack on the capital — matching the start time of the hearings. You need to re-orient your outrage.
