Kraus’ daughter Virginia Guinan said in a deposition that he was asleep when she dropped by that day and she didn’t want to wake him because he was in ill health and also upset that his dog had died.
Alerted about the bloodbath later, Guinan rushed back to his home, where she saw paramedics performing CPR on her dad as he lay in a pool of blood.
A trail led to the chicken house, where she saw one of the birds with blood on its claws and suspected it was the same one that had been sent to live on the farm after it had earlier attacked Kraus granddaughter.
Corey O’Keeffe, a tenant at the home, said he heard Kraus screaming during the attack and saw blood spurting from the man’s leg, as well as a large wound on his calf.

In the fine print at the end, the gentleman appeared to have suffered a heart attack at the same time.
Another vaxx victim.
Clever.;-)
Why did you fry your Grandpa?
Mom told me a tale about grandma getting up in the middle of the night grabbing a chicken off the roost and then frying grandad some chicken. Mom said Grandpa worked so hard he couldn’t eat enough to keep going. I’m now 72 and I know why the chickens met their doom. I think Grandpa must have been a real champion. Humor for the afternoon
Looks like razors on that chickens legs. Was pops fighting roosters and one of them got him?
I was out playing out in the back yard when I was 7 or 8 years old and our big rooster pecked a whole in my pants and took a beak full of skin out of my leg.
Next thing I knew Dad had grabbed that rooster by the head and gave it a quick twist.
Dads are good to have around.
I like how the rooster waits and evaluates the kid’s poor form before deciding “I can take him”.
I’m surprised we dont have a ping list for things like this.
I had a rooster like that once. Went after my youngest. She was 8 at the time. I stopped it quickly before it could do any real damage. It was always mean, but that was the last straw. We had chicken soup the next day. I have also had really sweet roosters too.
Just read your post! See my last post. Seems to be common unless you are my kid. 😆
I suspect fowl play.
Look at a photo of an eagle’s eye next to a chicken’s. The chicken’s is fiercer.
Yep. There have probably been Dads wringing rooster necks as long as people have kept chickens.
Maybe they forgot to remove the razors from the bird’s spurs.
My Granny (Hickman County Tennessee) used to send me out to collect the eggs from the Banty hens. They pecked the crap out of me and I was terrified of them. That was 65 years ago.
Do you have an alibi?
Died With = Died Of, dontcha know.
