I wish these guys would quit fooling around and tackle something serious, like the wording in physics.

In physics, to accelerate an object a force must be applied. But “force” is a very harsh word, and well could trigger unpleasant memories. “The police forced me out of the car.” “The police used unnecessary force.”

Therefore, replace the word force with something less triggering. Perhaps “acceleration doer” would work.
