I love a good dead stick landing. It bugs me that flight schools don’t seem to teach it much or any. The skill to land straight down would save a lot of damage in many cases of engine failure, etc.
I flew a 172 and a 205 around the islands for work when I lived in Hawaii(I wasn’t a professional pilot. I just used the aircraft to get around for business). Now in Alaska I am dying to learn STOL flying.
