The picture on his desk is a message. It's a plan of the 1776 battle with British troops where Washington was out manned, out gunned and and the British thought it would be an easy win. After months of fighting and withdrawals by Washington, he regrouped and defeated the British. We are about to go in for the win. He has the plan.

Things are getting more interesting by the day. It does feel like there’s an acceleration of the pace . . .

That is creepy he shows a map. I found a map that is might be creeping me out today.
scholorofenland (Land of milk and honey) Augsburg 1730 Matthäus Seutter (1678-1757) who was a map maker found this map at his door in 1730
on the map it says "light is the same day and night."
Utopian map. Often spoken but no one knows where it is.
Measurements seem to be in meilen (German for miles) (about 8000 miles in circumference. slightly larger then the moon)

"When active operations were resumed in June 1777, Howe moved his troops to the south bank of the Delaware River and won two successive victories over the Americans at the Battle of Brandywine (September) and the Battle of Germantown (October). His next winter was spent in the occupation of Philadelphia." "Howe recognized his failure, however, to destroy the modest force of Gen. George Washington, then encamped at nearby Valley Forge. His Pennsylvania campaign had furthermore exposed the troops of Gen. John Burgoyne in upper New York state and led to the disastrous British defeat at the Battle of Saratoga that fall.
Under increasing criticism from the British press and government, Howe resigned his command before the start of operations in 1778."
William Howe - British military commander
"This was not a bad strategy. The problem was, after coming up with the plan, they flubbed the execution. They seized New York and, in fact, George Washington had a close call trying to escape the British. But then, Washington, with a successful Christmas strike on Trenton and beating Hessian mercenaries at the Battle of Princeton, drew the attention of General Howe."
The British military actually had an effective plan in 1776

In other words, enemy plan known. That was the British plan.
