There is a powerful anti-God bloc inside the Democrat Party. I can remember when the DNC voted to remove God from their platform. I don't remember what year it was. Might have been in 2012.

I do remember watching it on TV in real-time though. It was ugly.

They voice passed the resolution 3 times but the DNC chair ignored it saying it didn’t pass. The optics for the party and Obama at the time were too negative so they brushed it right by in 2012. I don’t recall in 2016 if removing God directly was up for a vote in the DNC. I think they went with more “inclusivity” which would have had a smothering affect on traditional family planks and didn’t bring the “god issue’ up again in 2016. Trump became the ultimate evil.

I learned about the Democrat party’s problem with christianity as a teenager in the early 80’s when a caller to a radio show said “I am an atheist and I’m voting for Mondale”.

That told me all I meeded to know.
