Walking into The People’s House through an unlocked door in full view of Capitol Police doing nothing to shoo them away should not be a prosecutable crime, and anyone engaged in that should themselves be charged with deprivation of civil rights under color of law.

Well, change the law. If that does not work, then defense attorneys can argue that the law itself is unconstitutional, or is being applied in an arbitrary or capricious manner.

The "People's House" as well as the Capital Police was controlled by the then Speaker who had previously made clear her disdain for all things President Trump and MAGA. So people were playing with fire.
