It manages to both be ridiculous/comedic yet serious at the same time. Not easy to pull off.
Entertaining for adults, safe for people of all ages. Be nice if people writing TV shows these days cared about such things.
Closest series in past years has been Tim Allen’s: Home Improvement and Last Man Standing.
Also liked the beginning episodes of Last Man On Earth. Then that show went into the toilet, literally.
