Oh Rusty.....that neck of yours is a pain in the neck. I don’t like hearing when you, or anyone of our TFT doesn’t feel well. Hope this upcoming week is better for you.
Cold not supposed to last long. My son is happy because his pond has FINALLY frozen over! It’s been a mild January and he was thinking he wasn’t going get in any skating, but it looks like they will.
We’re just figuring out the best way to tackle these pies. I’m going to experiment by making one of each filling (pumpkin, apple, pecan, maybe rhubarb) and freezing the fillings in containers. Then I’ll freeze a bottom crust. Then when they’re good and frozen, I’ll thaw them out, add a fresh top crust where required, and bake them. I’m hoping they turn out. I just can’t leave them all until a day or two before, so I’m trying to figure out a way they’ll still be delicious, and have the top crust be fresh and decorative.
I just saw Dagan McDowell on Tucker. Haven’t watched Fox for a long time. She looked so nice - finally seeing someone with their hair not draped down the front of them on either side. That look is getting old.
Thanks. My neck has hurt much worse, I took a muscle relaxer and it’s a little better. It’s probably tight due to lack of exercise.
Sounds like you have a plan for the pies. So much work! But ir will be much appreciated. Aren’t you making cheezecakes too?Glad the cold weather brought your son the skating rink.
Have a warm night and don’t stub your toe!
