Just asked a few Senators about Hersh’s report on the Nordstream pipeline. Lindsey Graham says he doesn’t think it’s true because he doesn’t think Biden would take such drastic action. Dick Durbin claims he hasn’t read it or even heard about it despite knowing Hersh for decades
Jim Risch declares the report is “not accurate” based on “information” he’s received, but which he cannot describe to me. Chris Coons and Angus King both claim they haven’t even heard about the report. When I inform them, Coons exclaims “it’s bullshit” and a “conspiracy theory”
As far as the senators who claim they haven’t even heard about Hersh’s report, recall that at least three of their colleagues (Mike Lee, JD Vance, Chris Murphy) have now tweeted and commented on the report
Observation: neither of the Republican senators (Graham, Risch) denied knowing about the report, as much as they might deny its accuracy. All three Democrats (Durbin, Coons, King) claimed to have no awareness of the report at all. (Yes, I know King is technically an Independent)
I’m sure the senators who pleaded cluelessness will promptly read the report now that I’ve informed them about it

Amazing that Mitch and his colleagues are so incurious about this whole pipeline thing. Seems like an event you’d expect them to be tenaciously determined to get to the bottom of.
It is so sad how ill informed the politicians are on almost every subject. What they heck are they doing. Remember what Congress Cawthorn said? Got to be something like that.

Angus King is a bleeding heart liberal and all but USELESS.
When he was our Governor, you’d have thought he was the second coming the way they carried on when he was inaugurated.
He will caucus with the Dems EVERY time.
I hope nobody puts any faith in him.
